Deep Sky

Constellation: Hydra
Mag 10.17
Catalogued by W. Herschel on 22 May 1784, he thought it was a faint nebula. It resolved as a gobular cluster in 1932 at the Lowell observatory. It is approx 113,000 light-years from earth traveling towards us at approx 144 kps.
What I found interesting is that 5694 mayh not be gravationally bound to the Milky Way, nor does it seem to have any varable stars or blue stragglers associated with this remote gobular cluster.
