Constellation Gemini
Eskimo Nebula
Mag. 9.1

This nebula is known as a bipolar double-shell nebula planetary nebula.  Whew, try saying that 5 times fast. The sun like star is surrounded by gas that composed the outer layer.  It is some 2,870 light-years from here.  Discovered by William Herschel in 1787, in Slough, England.  I'm very surprised that our 8 inch telescope was able to pick it out so nicely. Thank you Hyperstar.   The Hubble site has a very nice image of this planet nebula.  It is amazing!
