NGC 3628

Constellation Leo

M66 is approx 36 million light-years from earth, and some 95 light-years across.
Known as the Leo Triplet galaxies, notice that M66, while a spiral galaxy is not as symmetric as other spirals.  This is because of the close interactions and tidal gravitational pulls from its neighbors.  For the record, M66 is at the bottom left of this image, M65 is at the upper left, and NGC 3628 is seen edge on, note the dust lanes especially across the plane of the galaxy.
