M106
NG4258

Spiral galaxy
Constellation: Canes Venatici
The large spiral is M 106, the smaller side view one NGC4217.  Pierre Mechain discovered this neighborhood group in 1781.  It is also considered a Seyfert II , this means that there is something unusual about the x-rays and emission lines radiating out from this guy.  Some astronomers feel that part of the galaxy is falling into one heck of a supermassive black  hole.  Talk about your horror show for those living in M106.
NGC 4217 deserves mention here as it is possible that this guy is a companion galaxy to M106.  M106 is approx 22 to 25 million light-years from earth.
